I hope that we will agree on the text of the Memorandum as soon as possible and start the signing process, said the Minister of Spatial Planning, Urbanism and State Property Janko Odović, during today’s meeting with the Turkish Ambassador to Montenegro, Baris Kalkavan.
During the meeting, as announced by the department, mutual interest was expressed in signing the Memorandum of Understanding between the two countries’ governments, which the Ministry of Environment, Urbanism and Climate Change of Turkiye would implement.
“I hope that we will agree on the text of the Memorandum as soon as possible and start the signing process”, said Odović during the meeting.
The government department said that Kalkavan particularly emphasized Turkiye’s willingness to help with expertise in exchanging experts and organizations in spatial planning and urbanism through the Turkish Agency for International Cooperation and Coordination – TIKA.
During the conversation, they add, the possibility of organizing a meeting between Odović and Turkish investors was announced, with the support of the Turkish Chamber of Commerce, as an example of good practice for improving the business environment.
It is stated that Kalkavan has announced the arrival of four significant investors from Turkiye who will develop businesses in the fields of finance, healthcare and education in Montenegro.
On the occasion of constructing the new Turkish embassy on the coast of Morača, Odović emphasized that the Ministry will provide full support to complete the process as successfully as possible.
